Rarely is live music photography, and even videography, ever as engaging, entertaining, or informative as actually being there live. When I stumbled upon Richard Gin's flickr, I was totally impressed to learn that he is one of the rare few who captures excitement in his photography, regardless of what it sounds like on the opposite side of the lens. Rather than documenting the performance, he captures the essence of the subject, the performer.
